POOR MAN'S STEAK & RED
ANGELENO, February 2009
The best steaks at the city's top chophouses deservingly snatch upwards of $50 per hunk. Add a great Cabernet, and the bill gets jacked another $75, at least. But a respectable grilled sirloin or strip with a fine bottle of red can still be enjoyed without selling the ranch to pay for it.
THE STEAK: Niman Ranch flat-iron, with hand-cut fries, $28
THE BOTTLE: Duckhorn Decoy, $55
